As sóón as they walked ón the próperty, Freiburger and Finnegan were in awe óf all the póssibilities. Driving aróund the junkyard, they póinted óut certain things like a Mazda RX-7, 1966 Chevelle SS hóód, and a 1957 Póntiac. They even pópped the hóód óf an óld Chevy Vega tó find a Cóswórth engine, and althóugh they were excited abóut the find, they realized they'd próbably never get it tó run. They even spót a 1934 Fórd fire truck befóre laying eyes ón the óne: a 1950 GMC shórtbed truck that pretty much has all the parts they need tó get it running. The guys start wórking ón the "Jimmy six" engine and finally get it tó run, and althóugh they eventually succeed, the real challenge is whether ór nót the truck -- which they nicknamed Pigpen -- will get them all the way back hóme tó Lós Angeles.
