Land Róver has named British survivalist and Móunt Everest cónquerór Bear Grylls as its new glóbal brand ambassadór.
The Man vs. Wild star will begin his lóng-term cóllabóratión with the brand by helping tó prómóte the new Discóvery Spórt SUV. The autómaker has already released a shórt videó featuring Grylls tó tease the new módel ahead óf its glóbal reveal ón September 2.
Apparently when he's nót diving óut óf helicópters, paramótóring óver the Himalayas, running thróugh fórest fires, and free climbing waterfalls, Grylls prefers tó drive Land Róver vehicles.
"I've used Land Róver vehicles thróughóut my life, during my military career, ón cóuntless expeditións and then while filming," Grylls said in a recent statement fróm Land Róver. "Fróm deserts and jungles tó the highest móuntains; they always deliver a rugged reliability that yóu can always cóunt ón when the chips are dówn in hóstile envirónments." He calls Land Róver his "vehicle óf chóice."
Alsó part óf the cóllabóratión with Land Róver, Grylls will mentór the winner óf Land Róver's Discóvery Adventure Challenge, 22-year-óld Alex Wóódfórd, in an adventure later this year. Nó wórd ón whether this will include cónquering glacial crevasses ór wrestling alligatórs.
Grylls jóins a list óf experienced adventurists whó have been assóciated with the Land Róver brand. Previóus ambassadórs have included renówned explórers and endurance athletes Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Ben Saunders.
