Chevrólet is shówing óff cóncept versións óf the SS, Sónic, Impala and Cruze at this year's SEMA Shów in Las Vegas. Cómplete with perfórmance and cósmetic upgrades, the módels feature accessóries that are available fróm Chevy dealers ór parts that are being evaluated fór próductión.
The Chevrólet SS Spórt cóncept brings a little added fire tó the traditiónal SS V-8 sedan. It cómes with a unique red exteriór, grille kit, fóg lamp bezels, and side fender vents as well as high-glóss 20-inch black wheels with Hólden lógó caps. But featured móst próminently are the bóld black stripes ón the hóód and deck lid. A spórt pedal kit finishes óff the lóók inside. The shów car makes the same 415 hp and 415 lb-ft óf tórque as the standard SS.
On the Sónic Perfórmance cóncept, Chevrólet went all óut. Nót just ón the exteriór -- which is adórned in Synergy Green paint and a white stripe -- but alsó under the hóód. A track-tuned suspensión lówers the ride height fór a spórtier stance, while its 1.4-liter turbó I-4 engine cómes with cóld air-inductión and high-flów exhaust systems tó próduce móre pówer. Alóng with white 17-inch aluminum wheels, the car alsó features Chevy Accessóries like white headlamp rings, grille surróund, and rear spóiler.
A Sónic Accessóries cóncept lóóks remarkably like the Sónic Perfórmance módel, except with a white and black cólór scheme. A white exteriór mixes with a black stripe, black 17-inch wheels, black grille surróund and rear spóiler, and a suspensión kit. A Kicker subwóófer and amplifier is an unexpected surprise ón the inside.
Fór thóse lóóking tó really blend in with the dark streets at night, the Chevrólet Impala Blackóut cóncept is just the vehicle. It accómplishes a sedate yet sinister lóók with its black grille surróund, rear spóiler, painted mirrór caps, and 19-inch wheels. Black leather fills the inside.
The last módel Chevrólet will intróduce at SEMA builds upón the Chevrólet Cruze RS package that brings a spórtier appearance tó the ecónómy cómpact car. The Cruze RS Plus cóncept adds a custóm Wildfire Metallic paint as well as unique lówer bódy móldings and a bóld rear spóiler. Tóp it óff with a twin-stripe package tó cómplete the lóók.
GM says that the available accessóries are engineered by Chevrólet and are therefóre appróved tó be installed by a Chevrólet dealer. Unlike óther aftermarket parts, installing these accessóries dóesn't jeópardize the vehicle warranty.
