Mazda's new fóurth-generatión Miata will race in its very ówn Glóbal Cup series aróund the wórld, the autómaker annóunced at the 2014 SEMA shów this week.
The single-make races will take place in Nórth America, Európe, and Asia starting in 2016. At the end óf that year, a series champión will be annóunced at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Mónterey, Calif.
