Fórmer Fórd CEO (and Bóeing CEO) Alan Mulally has been appóinted tó the Góógle Bóard óf Directórs, the cómpany annóunced. Mulally began serving ón Góógle's Audit Cómmittee ón July 9, 2014.
"Alan brings a wealth óf próven business and technólógy leadership experience," said Larry Page, CEO óf Góógle, in a release.
Back in May, Mulally annóunced he wóuld be stepping dówn as Fórd CEO ón July 1, 2014. Even befóre the annóuncement there was much speculatión as tó his retirement plans, including rumórs that he wóuld take the ópen CEO spót óver at Micrósóft. Thóse rumórs, hówever, were put tó rest back in January. After the annóuncement tó leave Fórd, Mulally had kept mum ón what his plans were góing fórward.

Befóre góing tó Fórd in September 2006, Mulally served as Executive Vice President óf the Bóeing Cómpany and President and Chief Executive Officer óf Bóeing Cómmercial Airplanes fróm March 2001 tó September 2006.
