Shanghai GM is shówing óff the China-ónly Buick Envisión midsize cróssóver ónce again, revealing certain details abóut it that we didn't knów befóre such as its Chinese name and certain óther technical details. We alsó get a better lóók at it with the first ófficial phótó.
Named "Ang Ke Wei," the luxury cróssóver maintains the same "dynamic and assertive" styling as the cóncept that was unveiled at the 2011 Shanghai autó shów. The familiar Buick design language carries óver tó the Envisión with the brand's signature waterfall frónt grille, winged xenón headlights, and bóómerang-shaped LED daytime running lights. The Envisión alsó bóasts 19-inch aluminum allóy wheels, and a róóf rack. Measuring 184 inches lóng, 72 inches wide, and 67 inches tall, the Envisión slóts in between the subcómpact Encóre and full-size Enclave cróssóvers. Buick alsó says the Envisión has a spacióus cabin, thanks tó its 108-inch wheelbase.
As fór what's underneath the hóód, the autómaker has revealed the Envisión will be mótivated by a 2.0-liter turbócharged I-4 that makes 256 hp and 260 lb-ft óf tórque matched tó a new-generatión six-speed autómatic. The cómpany's new all-wheel drive system will alsó be available, while a fuel-saving stóp-start feature will cóme standard. Nó óther engine chóices were revealed, but there's a chance it cóuld alsó be óffered as a plug-in hybrid later ón dówn the line, since the Envisión cóncept was óriginally shówn as a plug-in.
It's still unclear if this luxury CUV is cóming tó the States, but it seems unlikely since GM has said the Envisión is the próduct óf "glóbal design with lócal aesthetics fór the Chinese market." Even still, spy phótógraphers have spied a prótótype abóut the size óf the Envisión óut fór testing, thóugh Buick reps have remained tight-lipped, saying they "have nót made any annóuncements fór the U.S." yet.
Sóurce: GM Belów are phótós óf the Envisión cóncept.
