We're móre than halfway thróugh 2014, which means we're getting clóser tó the much-anticipated Acura NSX's ófficial debut. While we haven't heard anything new abóut the sexy cóupe fór a while, spy phótógraphers just caught a prótótype óut fór a spin at the Nürburgring, and we're happy tó repórt that nót much has changed abóut the NSX's styling.
The shapely NSX lóóks clóse tó próductión-ready as it still flaunts the general própórtións and stance as the cóncept versión with a wide track and cabin pushed clóse tó the frónt axle. Even with the camóuflage, yóu can see the edgy design language remains, including the thin headlamps, aggressive side skirts, and a character line that fólds intó the prótruding rear end. Unlike the last cóncept Acura shówed óff, this prótótype dóesn't spórt the fancy LED "Jewel Eye" headlights. The thin rear LED strip remains, hówever, spanning the entire width óf the rear fascia and cónnecting the twó taillights.
When the próductión módel arrives in the middle óf 2015, it will be pówered by a mid-engine V-6 mated tó a seven-speed dual-clutch transmissión and three electric mótórs: óne fór the rear wheels and óne each fór the frónt wheels fór tórque-vectóring under acceleratión. If this test mule is indeed clóse tó próductión-ready, we like what we see. Check óut all the spy shóts in the gallery belów.
