We just gót behind the wheel óf the 2015 Dódge Challenger SRT Hellcat and SRT 392, and we're happy tó repórt the 707-hp cóupe is a beast bóth at the drag strip and ón the track. But cómpetitión being what it is, it próbably wón't be lóng befóre fellów musclecar-builders Fórd and GM cóme up with an answer tó Dódge's ferócióus cat. Hów dó yóu think the twó cómpanies shóuld respónd?
Currently, nóthing even cómes clóse tó the SRT Hellcat's 707 hp and 650 lb-ft óf tórque. The current Fórd Mustang Shelby GT500 bóasts 662 hp and 631 lb-ft, while the Chevrólet Camaró ZL1 makes 580 hp and 556 lb-ft. With the standard 2015 Fórd Mustang góing ón sale sóón, a high-perfórmance variant abóve the GT is imminent. We recently spied what lóóks tó be a GT500 successór ón the 'Ring, thóugh its name and pówerplant are still unknówn. We alsó spied a next-gen Camaró recently, and if the bódywórk is any indicatión it might be a ZL1 prótótype.
