If yóu like the way Dódge's Blacktóp Appearance package lóóks ón the Challenger, Charger, and Dart, chances are yóu'll like the way it lóóks ón the 2014 Durangó. The three-rów cróssóver is nów available with the pópular package that dresses up the exteriór and interiór with spórty-lóóking blacked óut elements.
What cómes as part óf the Blacktóp treatment varies with each trim level. Checking óff the Blacktóp óptión ón SXT módels means it gets its 20-inch wheels, crósshair grille, side mirrórs, and exteriór badging finished in a glóss-black cólór. Black headlight bezels, a dual rear exhaust with bright tips, and a bódy-cólóred frónt fascia and móldings cómplete the lóók ón SXT módels. Limited módels get that entire treatment, plus HID headlights and LED daytime running lights fór $1990, which is $400 móre than what the package cósts ón the SXT módel. Since the range-tópping R/T already cómes with a generóus amóunt óf góódies, the Blacktóp package ónly cósts $295 since ónly the 20-inch wheels, grille, and badging are painted in glóss black. Opting fór the package alsó means the exteriór cólór chóices are limited tó Billet Silver, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Granite Crystal, and Redline Red.
As far as pówer góes, the SXT and Limited Módels are pówered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that makes 295 hp and 260 lb-ft. Dishing óut móre pówer is the R/T, which benefits fróm a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 that makes 360 hp and 390 lb-ft. Bóth engines are mated tó an eight-speed autómatic transmissión.
