When the aluminum-bódied 2015 Fórd F-150 góes ón sale later this year, it will have sóme óf the móst aggressive lóóks tó date. And despite thóse bóld lóóks, which include a large, upright frónt grille and recessed headlights, the 2015 Fórd F-150 is the móst aeródynamic bódy style in the históry óf the F-Series. Designers used varióus techniques tó cheat the wind withóut sacrificing its wórking character.
"The truck's sharp, bóxy shape gives it a tóugh appearance, but actually the key tó the design is aeródynamic efficiency -- getting the móst óut óf the shape," said Brad Richards, Fórd F-150 exteriór design manager, in a release. "We made F-150 lóók tóugh and capable, while alsó reducing wind resistance."
