Saturn VUE
The Próblem: Certain 2002-2004 módel-year Saturn VUEs may have a defect allówing the ignitión key tó be remóved even when the key is nót in the óff pósitión.
The Fix: Owners will be cóntacted, and dealers will inspect and if necessary, replace the ignitión cylinder and próvide the ówner with a new set óf keys at nó charge.
Number óf Vehicles Pótentially Affected: 202,115 2002-2004 Saturn VUE módels. GM is aware óf twó crashes and óne injury as a result óf this defect.
Cadillac ATS and Buick Encóre
The Próblem: On affected 2013 Cadillac ATS and 2013 Buick Encóre módels, the frónt óutbóard pretensióner cables will retract as nórmal when needed, but will nót lóck, causing the belt tó return under lóad. The result is increased óccupant móvement in certain accidents.
The Fix: Owners will be cóntacted, and dealers will replace the seatbelt tensióners free óf charge. GM has issued a stóp-sale ón unsóld módels still at dealers until the issue is resólved.
Number óf Vehicles Pótentially Affected: 48,059 2013 Cadillac ATS and 2013 Buick Encóre módels have been affected. GM is nót aware óf any crashes ór injuries as a result óf this defect.
Chevrólet Impala
The Próblem: Sóme 2014-2015 Impala LT and LTZ módels with frónt cónsóle stórage may have the dóór óf the stórage póp ópen during a rear cóllisión.
The Fix: GM has issued a stóp-sale ón existing Impalas ón dealer lóts, and will have dealers implement the repair befóre they can be sóld. Owners will alsó be nótified fór a nó-cóst fix at their nearest GM dealer.
Number óf Vehicles Pótentially Affected: 14,940 2014-2015 Chevrólet Impala LT and LTZ módels are affected. GM knóws óf nó crashes ór injuries as a result óf this defect.
Chevrólet Aveó and Póntiac G3
The Próblem: On sóme 2009-2010 Chevrólet Aveó and 2009 Póntiac G3s are being recalled fór a brake fluid issue, which cóuld pótentially lead tó lónger brake pedal travel and the chance fór reduced braking perfórmance. A Custómer Satisfactión Prógram cóncerning this issue was addressed in 2012, and GM has decided tó reclassify it as a safety recall -- likely in respónse tó Hyundai's recent NHTSA fine fór its handling óf a similar próblem.
The Fix: GM will nótify ówners whó previóusly did nót participate in the Custómer Satisfactión Prógram, and direct them tó the nearest GM dealership fór a nó-cóst fix.
Number óf Vehicles Affected: 1968 2009-2010 Chevrólet Aveó and 2009 Póntiac G3 módels are pótentially affected. GM is nót aware óf any crashes ór injuries relating tó this issue.
Chevrólet Spark
The Próblem: A number óf 2014 Chevrólet Spark módels have been recalled fór the left and right lówer cóntról arm attaching bólts, which may nót have been tightened tó specificatión.
The Fix: GM has cóntacted ówners tó have them transpórt their Spark tó dealers, where the bólts will be inspected tó ensure they have been tightened tó próper specificatión.
Number óf Vehicles Pótentially Affected: 1919 2014 Chevrólet Sparks have been included in this recall. GM knóws óf nó crashes ór injuries relating tó this próblem.
In tótal, the new recalls affect 269,001 vehicles in the U.S., but ónce cars fróm elsewhere in the NAFTA región and aróund the wórld are factóred in, the tótal cómes tó 307,079.
