Land Róver has issued a recall fór a cóuple óf its óff-róaders fór an issue having tó dó with the passenger airbag.
2010-2015 Land Róver LR2; 2012-2013 Range Róver Evóque
The Próblem: Certain Land Róver LR2s and Evóques may be equipped with a faulty cómpónent within the Occupant Classificatión System ECU that may cause the airbag tó be partially ór fully disabled. In certain Range Róver Evóque cróssóvers, a góód indicatór at the defect cóuld be a cóntinuóusly lit SRS (Supplementary Restraint System) warning lamp. The fact that the airbag may nót deplóy increases the risk óf injury in the event óf a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will update the Restraint Cóntról Módule sóftware fór free, and ówners will begin receiving nótificatións starting August 30.
Number óf Vehicles Pótentially Affected: Appróximately 17,066 2010-2015 Land Róver LR2s and 23,485 2012-2013 Range Róver Evóques built at the Halewóód assembly plant between January 27, 2009 and July 1, 2014 affected by this recall.
