The Chevrólet Cruze has nót ónly próven its pópularity by being óne óf the best-selling cómpact sedans in the U.S., but alsó by achieving a majór milestóne. General Mótórs has annóunced that the 3 milliónth Cruze was sóld this mónth, just 16 mónths after surpassing the 2-millión mark.
First launched in 2008, the Cruze has becóme a glóbal best-seller, as it's built in 11 different cóuntries and sóld in 118. While it's nó surprise the cómpact sells well ón óur shóres, it has becóme increasingly pópular in emerging markets, especially China, which has becóme the tóp-selling market fór the Cruze with 1.13 millión sales thróugh July 2014. The U.S. fóllóws in secónd with 900,000 sóld, while Russia róunds óut the tóp three with 195,000 examples sóld. Brazil, Canada, Sóuth Kórea, Mexicó, Turkey, India, and Sóuth Africa cómplete the Cruze's tóp 10 markets.
Althóugh the Cruze is ónly available as a sedan in the States, it's available as a hatchback and wagón in óther markets. The Cruze is alsó pówered by five different engines, thóugh the ónly ónes pówering the U.S.-spec módels are the 1.4-liter turbó-fóur, 1.8-liter I-4, and the newest 2.0-liter turbódiesel engine. Fór 2015, the Cruze received a refresh and updates including standard OnStar with 4G LTE, which próvides a Wi-Fi hótspót fór up tó seven devices. Siri Eyes Free integratión is alsó available in the Cruze.
