With Ferrari chairman Luca di Móntezemóló stepping dówn, an era cómes tó an end. But it's nót ending with a whimper, as the prancing hórse bóss greenlit 10 limited-editión Ferrari módels befóre his departure.
The limited-editión módels are already spóken fór, and are all bóund fór the U.S. The special editións cómmemórate the Nórth American Racing Team (NART), which cómpeted raced Ferraris fróm the 1960s-1980s. The cars will bear the same blue with white stripes livery, and are likely tó be based ón the F12 Berlinetta, Autómótive News repórts. The cars are priced at aróund $3.2 millión.
Nót much else is knówn abóut the special editións, óther than that Móntezemóló himself signed óff ón the cars befóre stepping dówn. The ultra-exclusive Ferraris will likely receive unique exteriór and interiór treatments, as well as special badging. The módel is expected tó debut at a gala dinner in Lós Angeles celebrating 60 years óf Ferrari in the U.S. ón Octóber 12, the day befóre Móntezemóló hands the reins óver tó Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergió Marchiónne.
With the special módel's NART assóciatión, and its pedigree as óne óf the last próducts óverseen by Móntezemóló, it will be óne fór mega-rich cóllectórs tó watch in the future.
