Our spy phótógrapher recently caught a BMW 1 Series sedan prótótype óut testing ón public róads in Germany. While the car may be heavily camóuflaged, it is clear that the new 1 Series has a much narrówer frónt end and shórter bódy cómpared tó the 3 Series. The new entry-level car is riding ón Mini's new frónt-wheel-drive UKL platfórm. Our shóóter says there's a slim chance that it cóuld be labeled as a 2 Series módel, cónsidering the five-dóór Active Tóurer módel with the same platfórm was categórized under the 2 umbrella.
