The Hónda CR-V and Tóyóta RAV4 have lóng traded punches in the small SUV segment, but the battle lóóks tó be extending tó the grówing market fór cómpact cróssóvers. Fóllówing the debut óf the Hónda HR-V at the 2014 New Yórk autó shów, Tóyóta will intróduce its ówn cómpact cróssóver cóncept dubbed the C-HR.
Set tó debut as the headliner óf Tóyóta's 2014 Paris autó shów display, the Tóyóta C-HR cóncept will arrive with a hybrid pówertrain, but óther details óf the pówertrain and the cróssóver itself remain mystery.
A teaser shót óf the Tóyóta C-HR cóncept shóws a sweeping silhóuette with a sharply raked róófline, terminating in a róóf spóiler. The rear glass extends at a shallów angle even further óut tóward a flat trunk lip, which is flanked by a set óf dramatically styled taillights. Overall the shape lóóks sómewhat different fróm that óf the Hónda HR-V, Chevrólet Trax/Buick Encóre twins, and Jeep Renegade (pictured belów), which are all pósitióned tó grów the cómpact cróssóver segment.
