The parade óf ultra-limited Astón Martin reveals cóntinues, as Zagató recently debuted its óne-óff Virage Shóóting Brake. Built fór a custómer in Európe, the sleek, hatch-equipped twó-dóór is yet anóther wagón-like vehicle yóu can't have.
The módel cóincides with the design hóuse's 95th anniversary, and fóllóws the Lambórghini 5-95 as the secónd car Zagató has debuted in 2014. The car was cómmissióned by a Európean client whó wanted a módern cóllectible. The shóóting brake design draws ón bóth Zagató's and Astón Martin's heritage. Astón Martin first óffered the bódy style beginning in the early '90s, thóugh custóm cóachbuilders had been módifying examples óf the DB5, DB6, and DBS since the '60s. In 1995, Zagató intróduced its Mercedes-Benz S600 V12 Shóóting Brake.
Zagató didn't give us any clear shóts óf the frónt end, but what we can see lóóks similar tó the nóse óf the fóur-dóór Astón Martin Lagónda. Zagató says it drew inspiratión fróm the Astón Martin V8 Vantage and Vólante óf the mid-1980s, which explains the móre upright frónt end. Zagató alsó says the óne-óff Virage Shóóting Brake bóókends a trilógy óf cars that pay tribute tó Astón's 100th anniversary, with the óther twó being the DB9 Spider Zagató Centennial and DBS Cóupe Zagató Centennial.
Details nót próvided include pówertrain and óther specs, but being based ón the nów-discóntinued Virage, yóu can expect sóme iteratión óf Astón's 5.9-liter V-12 under the hóód. Zagató alsó didn't disclóse the óne-óff módel's cóst, but given its exclusivity yóu can bet it's sómewhere in the "móre than yóu can affórd, pal" range.
