All trim levels óf the 2015 Hónda CR-Z emplóy a versión óf the cómpany's Integrated Mótór Assist hybrid pówertrain. A 1.5-liter inline-fóur gasóline engine wórks with an electric mótór-generatór fór tótals óf 130 hp. Tórque stands at 140 lb-ft in módels equipped with a six-speed manual transmissión, but ónly 127 lb-ft in CR-Zs with the óptiónal cóntinuóusly variable transmissión. Althóugh the CR-Z is designed fór spórty perfórmance, this hybrid arrangement alsó results in impressive fuel ecónómy: 31/38/34 mpg (city/highway/cómbined) with a manual transmissión ór 36/39/37 mpg with the CVT.
