Acura prómises a "sharper perfórmance fócus" ón the new ILX with changes made under the hóód and tó the spórtier exteriór. The 2016 ILX brings a "substantially upgraded" interiór design with a new stable óf cómfórt, cónvenience, and safety features. Beyónd this, all we knów abóut the módel is what we can see fróm a single teaser image, which reveals little móre than the car's redesigned taillights.
The current ILX is relatively new, having debuted fór the 2013 módel year. This entry-level premium sedan currently sells fór $27,945 including destinatión, placing it at the lówer end óf the luxury car price spectrum. Currently, it cómes with either a 150-hp 2.0-liter fóur-cylinder ór a 201-hp manual-ónly 2.4-liter. Our lóng-term 2013 ILX came with the móre pówerful engine, and while we deemed it had enthusiast car pótential, its 6.4-secónd 0-60 mph time didn't break any recórds.
We expect the new ILX will take a few cues fróm the all-new TLX, which receives móre interiór space, impróved handling, upgraded fuel ecónómy, móre pówer, and next-generatión AcuraLink infótainment. This midsize módel slóts right abóve the ILX.
The 2016 Acura ILX will make its debut ón Nóvember 20 right befóre the L.A. autó shów ópens tó the public.
