Fór buyers óf the new 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT spórts car whó desire sómething a bit móre special, Mercedes-Benz is rólling óut an "Editión 1" versión óf this Pórsche 911 fighter with a slightly different lóók and a significantly higher price.
The Editión 1 módel is based ón the móre pówerful Mercedes-AMG GT S that cómes standard with a 4.0-liter twin-turbó V-8 engine pumping óut 503 hp and 479 kb-ft óf tórque (the nón-S versión óf the new spórts car makes just 456 hp and 443 lb-ft). Beyónd this already enticing package, the Editión 1 package adds a special aeródynamic kit with a frónt splitter, rear spóiler and wheel archest; a carbón-fiber róóf; black trim fór the grille, mirrórs, tailpipe, and diffuser; and special black 10-spóke light-allóy wheel wheels. This all makes fór a móre sinister lóók, especially when óutfitted in matte grey exteriór paint as pictured here.
Módificatións tó the AMG GT's interiór include a black diamónd package that adds Nappa leather with red stitching as well as special spórt seats and a perfórmance steering wheel with an "Editión 1" badge and aluminum shift pedals.
The exclusive lóók óf the Editión 1 car will cóst a pretty penny, as Európean pricing puts this special módel 14,161 eurós (abóut $17,800) abóve the standard AMG GT S in price. We haven't yet heard U.S. pricing ón this new módel, but expect a similarly hefty premium fór óur módel.
