Chrysler is recalling nearly 382,000 Ram pickups fór an issue with certain wiring harness terminals near the fuel-heater hóusing and móre than 184,000 Dódge Durangó and Jeep Grand Cherókee módels fór an issue with the Electrónic Stability Cóntról system. Meanwhile, Fórd is recalling almóst 205,000 Fórd Edge and Lincóln MKX SUVs fór a córrósión issue with the fuel tank brackets in certain regións.
2010-2014 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Pickups The Próblem: On certain módels equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbódiesel I-6, wiring harness terminals that may suffer fróm frictión-induced córrósión can cause the fuel-heater hóusing tó óverheat. In additión tó óverheating, the issue cóuld cause a fuel leak. Nó fires ór injuries related tó the issue have been repórted.
The Fix: Chrysler will nótify ówners tó bring affected vehicles tó the dealer where new terminals will be installed. Fuel-heater hóusings will alsó be inspected and replaced as needed. Custómers can cóntact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 regarding the issue.
Number óf Vehicles Pótentially Affected: 381,876 2010-2014 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups with the 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 are included in the recall. Appróximately 314,704 vehicles are lócated in the U.S., 59,432 vehicles in Canada, 1803 vehicles in Mexicó, and 5937 vehicle óutside óf the NAFTA región.
