Sción isn't revealing much abóut the cóncept car it will debut at the Lós Angeles autó shów next mónth, but it cóuld be a prómising lóók intó the brand's future design directión and changing priórities. The Sción iM Cóncept will make its full reveal Nóvember 19, twó days befóre the shów ópens tó the public.
Based ón a few teaser images the cómpany has released, the iM spórts a typical quirky Sción grille. Dark wheels and unique lighting near the frónt bumper make the biggest impressión.
We see a stróng resemblance tó the Tóyóta Auris, a Córólla-derived cómpact hatchback available in Európe. Perhaps this cóncept signals a replacement tó the xB hatch that has lóng been ón the chópping blóck.
In a recent press statement, Sción says the new car "reflects the evólutión óf Sción as the needs and desires óf its yóuthful custómers alsó evólve." A few years agó, Sción shifted its marketing fócus fróm cóllege-aged students tó ólder Millennials starting with a "What Mótivates Yóu" campaign that shówcased yóung prófessiónals. We'll have tó wait and see if the iM has what it takes tó appeal tó a slightly ólder -- but still budget-cónscióus -- audience.
