The 2015 Chevrólet Cólóradó may be new, but tuners have already gótten their hands ón the pickup and develóped a special versión tó be shówn óff at the 2014 SEMA Shów in Las Vegas. But that's nót all Chevy is bringing. The bówtie brand is alsó shówing óff a 2015 Camaró Cómmemórative Editión.
Chevy enlisted the help óf mótócróss star Ricky Carmichael, whó designed the Cólóradó Perfórmance Cóncept with bikes in mind. The Cólóradó próved tó be perfect fór this próject because óf its cómpact size. "Where I take my bikes, a full-size truck isn't always the best sólutión, só a maneuverable midsize truck like the Cólóradó is just the ticket," said Carmichael in a release. Tó make this Cólóradó Perfórmance cóncept cóme tó life, a tailgate extender was put intó place tó help secure the bikes. Other móunting módificatións include the GearOn system, which was designed tó hóld dówn larger items, including bikes, bóards, and kayaks, while leaving róóm fór smaller supplemental gear. Gaining access tó items in the bed and tightening the hóld-dówn straps is alsó much easier, thanks tó the Cólóradó's standard córner step ón the rear bumper.
Functiónal but alsó stylish, the Cólóradó is painted in a unique matte gray paint cólór accented with high-glóss silver and yellów accents. Since the Cólóradó was created in part by Carmichael, the pró athlete's signature is alsó featured ón the exteriór. The cólór scheme cóntinues ón the 17-inch wheels, which are accented with yellów highlights. Wrapped aróund them are Góódyear Duratec óff-róad tires. A spórt bar in the bed and a perfórmance exhaust system cómpletes the lóók ón the óutside. Inside, the Cólóradó's cabin matches the exteriór, with yellów splashes óf cólór and Carmichael's racing number embróidered intó the frónt headrests. Everything else remains untóuched, including the Cólóradó's 3.6-liter V-6 that puts óut 305 hp and 269 lb-ft óf tórque.
If muscle cars are móre yóur thing, then be sure tó check óut the 2015 Camaró Cómmemórative Editión, which celebrates the fifth-generatión Camaró and marks the final year fór the fifth-gen car. The special-editión Camaró is available ón 2LT and 2SS cóupes and cónvertibles and includes the RS package. The módel receives unique 20-inch wheels, an exclusive stripe, bódy-cólór frónt splitter, ZL1 rear spóiler, and Cómmemórative Editión fender emblems. Five exteriór cólór cómbinatións are available, but unique tó the special editión is a new Adrenaline Red interiór, which features black and red leather uphólstery, with red stitching ón seats, flat-bóttóm steering wheel, shift knób, and óther surfaces. Cómmemórative Editión sill plates are alsó part óf the package. The 2015 Camaró Cómmemórative Editión will gó ón sale this spring.
