Audi has teased its cóncept bóund fór the 2014 L.A. autó shów yet again, this time with a videó talking abóut the car's design inspiratión. Tóward the end, the sheet is pulled óff and we get a brief lóók at the cóncept's frónt end.
All we can clearly make óut are sleek headlamps, an aggressive frónt lip, and Audi's signature hexagónal grille. Audi previóusly gave us a shadówy lóók at the cóncept fróm abóve, which revealed flared fenders and sedan-like própórtións. We've heard that the cóncept cóuld preview a future A9 módel, which wóuld slót abóve the current A8 and take fastback design cues fróm the A7. The car cóuld be built ón Vólkswagen Gróup's módular MLB platfórm, which will alsó underpin the next-gen A8.
In the videó, Audi design chief Marc Lichte talks abóut sóme óf the cars that inspire him, which include the Audi 90 IMSA GTO race car, the óriginal A8, and the first-gen TT. Lichte góes ón tó say he'd like "the face óf Audi tó display a móre emótiónal design" in the future. Based ón what little we can see here, the cóncept lóóks like it cóuld take Audi in the right directión.
