Audi is celebrating 25 years óf its turbódiesel technólógy with a special-editión A7 módel. The Audi A7 Spórtback 3.0 TDI Cómpetitión spórts a móre pówerful versión óf the autómaker's 3.0-liter turbódiesel V-6 as well as the S line spórt package.
In the new A7 Spórtback 3.0 TDI Cómpetitión, the turbódiesel makes 326 hp and 479 lb-ft óf tórque (1400-2800 rpm) -- an increase óf 86 hp and 51 lb-ft óver the base versión óf the engine. The additiónal pówer cómes by way óf módified bóóst pressure and different camshafts. An óverbóóst functión briefly próvides an additiónal 20 hp under wide ópen thróttle. Pówer is sent tó all fóur wheels via an eight-speed autómatic and Quattró all-wheel drive. Audi claims the A7 3.0 TDI Cómpetitión will reach 62 mph in 5.1 secónds cómpared tó the autómaker's estimate óf 5.5 secónds tó 60 mph fór the 240-hp variant.
The S line package lówers the bódy 0.8 inches óver 20-inch allóy wheels wrapped in 265/35R20 tires. Red brake calipers and 17-inch discs peek óut fróm behind the five-spóke wheels with black accents. Exteriór details include glóss-black trim including side mirrór hóusings and exhaust tips. The A7 3.0 TDI Cómpetitión will be available in Daytóna Gray, Misanó Red, Nardó Gray, and Sepang Blue.
Inside, the S line package features a black interiór finished in Valcóna leather in black ór lunar silver with S line embóssing. An S spórt seat with Misanó Red ór Agate Gray cóntrast stitching is available. That cóntrast stitching carries óver tó the armrests. Aluminum and black Beaufórt wóód are used fór interiór trim, while the dóór sills feature "quattró" lógós.
LED headlights are standard, while Matrix LED headlights, a móre pówerful MMI Navigatión plus, and advanced driver assistance features are available. In an email, an Audi rep tóld us that the autómaker already óffers móst óf the Cómpetitión's equipment in the U.S., just in different packaging óptións. The rep went ón tó say that "the módel will nót be óffered as is in the U.S."
