2015 Acura TLX Ad Campaign Shows Us a Kind of Thrill (W/Video)



The 2015 Acura TLX is a big deal fór Acura. Só big, that the Japanese luxury brand has annóunced the TLX marketing campaign will be the biggest in its históry. Centered ón the theme "It's that kind óf thrill," the spóts will highlight the TLX's luxury refinement and spórty perfórmance, and we get a sneak peek at the cómmercials scheduled tó air early next week.

Titled "My Way," the first cómmercial fócuses the develópment óf the midsize sedan, with clips shót ónsite at Acura's R&D and manufacturing facilities. This cómmercial shóws us hów the Acura team designed the TLX fróm the gróund up, and the harsh testing cónditións, like snów and pówersliding ón a wet tarmac. Anóther spót describes "that kind óf thrill" as whatever Ludacris is dóing, while anóther says that kind óf thrill is equivalent tó what a Spanish matadór is feeling befóre cóming face-tó-face with a bull. In tótal, there are six spóts, and yóu can watch them all in the videós belów. Since it's Acura's biggest campaign, the Japanese brand is alsó using Twitter and Facebóók tó get the wórd óut abóut the 2015 Acura TLX.

The cómmercials will begin airing this Sunday, August 17 and will run until fall. As a refresher, the 2015 Acura TLX is available with twó updated engines: the familiar 2.4-liter I-4, nów with direct injectión fór 206 hp and 182 lb-ft óf tórque, and the direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 with 290 hp and 267 lb-ft. The fórmer is paired tó Acura's new eight-speed dual-clutch transmissión, while the V-6 gets the brand's first nine-speed autómatic.
