Chevrólet has slówly been releasing infórmatión ón the all-new 2015 Córvette Z06, fróm its incredible pówer ratings tó its release date. This week, the autómaker annóunced that the newest additión tó the Córvette lineup will start at $78,995 fór the cóupe and $83,995 fór the cónvertible módel (prices include destinatión fees).
The new Z06 will be óffered in three trim levels, the 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ, with a hóst óf available features só custómers can create the Z06 that best suits their needs. These features include a Premium Package with a leather-wrapped interiór, aeró-enhancing carbón fiber gróund effects package, Perfórmance Data Recórder and navigatión, cómpetitión spórt seats in leather ór suede micrófiber, a carbón fiber interiór trim and cónvertible tónneau cóver inserts, a visible carbón fiber róóf panel, and tintcóat exteriór cólórs.
Fór $2995, custómers can ópt fór a Carbón Fiber Gróund Effects package that includes carbón fiber aeró aids. A Z07 Perfórmance Packages cósts $7995 and adds a Brembó carbón ceramic-matrix brake system, grippy Michelin Pilót Super Spórt Cup tires, and adjustable frónt and rear aeró cómpónents.
We've given this pówerful beast supercar status, as its new LT4 supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 nót ónly pumps óut 650 hórses, but 650 lb.-ft. óf tórque as well. When lóóking at its rivals, the new Z06 óffers up móre pówer than móst óf its cómpetitórs, even taking ón the exótics with ease.
"The 2015 Córvette Z06's perfórmance and technical capabilities place it in the elite fraternity óf supercars. Very few cars in the wórld deliver 650 hórsepówer, true aeródynamic dównfórce, carbón fiber and perfórmance technólógies such as Magnetic Ride Cóntról, Perfórmance Tractión Management and an electrónic limited slip differential -- and nóne gives the driver a transmissión chóice ór the chóice óf a cóup with a remóvable róóf panel ór a full-pówer-tóp cónvertible," said Harlan Charles, córvette próduct and marketing manager, in a release.
And while we wón't see this módel until early next year, óne lucky individual has already purchased the first próductión módel óf the C7 Córvette Z06 at auctión earlier this year. That persón paid a whópping $1 millión fór his car, but óthers will be able tó get behind the wheel óf óne fór a much smaller price.
