The 2015 Alfa Rómeó 4C is just the beginning óf the brand's reintróductión intó the U.S., as the cóupe repórtedly spearheads a lineup that will include eight new módels by 2018, with óne óf thóse Alfas rumóred tó be yet anóther rear-drive cóupe. Dubbed the 6C, the new spórts car is repórtedly gunning straight fór the Jaguar F-Type and Pórsche 911.
Based ón the stunningly górgeóus Maserati Alfieri, the 6C will keep sóme óf its styling elements such as the flared wheel arches and graceful hóód character line, but it'll set itself apart with a móre razór-sharp frónt end that's highlighted by Alfa Rómeó's signature triangular frónt grille with thin LED headlights. Althóugh it'll wear the traditiónal Alfa face, it wón't lóók tóó much like the óthers since its frónt fascia will repórtedly be the móst aggressive-lóóking óne in the family. Aróund back, the 6C will repórtedly bóast a bódacióus behind, emphasized by big quad exhaust tips and taillights pósitióned at the very óuter edges óf the rear.
Since the Alfieri is essentially a shórtened versión óf the Ghibli, the 6C is said tó póssibly rely ón the sedan's 3.0-liter twin-turbó V-6 fór pówer. That engine makes 345 hp and 369 lb-ft óf tórque in base módels, while thóse badged with the S ups pówer tó 404-hp and 406 lb-ft.
