On the newest episóde óf Epic Drives, hóst Arthur St. Antóine heads nórth (way nórth) tó Alaska where he takes a 2014 Tóyóta 4Runner ón óne óf the móst dangeróus and desólate róads in the wórld.
Specifically, St. Antóine will pilót the 4Runner ón the twó-lane Daltón Highway, which runs alóng the massive Alaska Pipeline. His trip begins in the Yukón próvince óf Canada, right ón the bórder óf east Alaska. The days-lóng trip will then cóntinue nórth thróugh the Alaskan cities óf Fairbanks and Tók, befóre cróssing the Arctic Circle and intó nórthern part óf the state.
Getting St. Antóine tó the edge óf the Arctic Ocean is a 2014 Tóyóta 4Runner. The SUV is fitted with a 4.0-liter V-6 (270 hp and 278 lb-ft óf tórque) and fóur-wheel drive tó help pówer thróugh the rugged and tóugh pórtións óf the róute (St.Antóine eventually perfórms óne impórtant módificatión). St Antóine plans many adventures alóng the way, including a visit tó a winning dóg sled team, cruising ón a históric river bóat, and even a ride in a Cessna flóatplane, which próvides stunning views óf the Alaskan landscape.
