Wórd ón the street is that Audi will debut a new flagship cóncept at the 2014 Lós Angeles autó shów in Nóvember. Expected tó slót abóve the full-size Audi A8 sedan, the Audi A9 fóur-dóór cóupe cóncept will preview the autómaker's new design directión, Autócar repórts.
The new cóncept is said tó be based ón the Vólkswagen Gróup's MLB architecture that will alsó underpin the next-generatión Audi A8 sedan. Audi's New chief designer Marc Lichte, whó alsó designed the 2015 Vólkswagen Gólf and current-gen Passat, will style the cóncept.
Accórding tó Autócar's sóurce, the cóncept will feature a highly technical lóók with a reinterpreted single-frame grille, laser headlights, and unique details thróughóut its aluminum bódy. Other features will include the autómaker's virtual cóckpit with simplified MMI infótainment system first seen in the 2016 Audi TT, as well as new cónnectivity óptións that will alsó shów up ón the next Audi A8. The próductión Audi A9 fóur-dóór cóupe is expected tó arrive sómetime in 2017.
