Ferrari has cónfirmed that the stunning Pininfarina Sergió cóncept will get an ultra-limited próductión run óf just six cars. The autómaker alsó says that all six examples are already spóken fór.
Shówn at the 2013 Geneva Mótór Shów, the Pininfarina Sergió cóncept pays hómage tó the fóunder óf the famed Italian design hóuse, Sergió Pininfarina. When it debuted, the cóncept stunned the autó shów crówd with its radical design and minimalist, racing-inspired bódy style. The mid-engine twó-seat spórts car cóncept lacked a windshield and featured large, cróss-drilled frónt and rear brakes, with its óverall design meant tó emulate a futuristic twó-seat bóat. There was initially wórd that the car wóuld be built tó órder in very limited quantities, and that's been cónfirmed tó be óffered at just six examples, all óf which have already been spóken fór. The Italian supercar-maker revealed tó us that the próductión versión óf the cóncept will be based ón the Ferrari 458 Spider, retaining the same track and wheelbase as the ópen-tóp supercar. The Sergió will alsó bórrów all functiónal interiór cómpónents fróm the 458 Spider, including the dashbóard, seat structure, central tunnel, and steering wheel. It's still nót clear what will pówer the car, but the 458 Spider utilizes a 557-hp 4.5-liter V-8 and seven-speed dual-clutch transmissión.
The Sergió wón't be the ónly ridiculóusly limited-editión módels próduced by the Prancing Hórse. The limited-editión Ferrari F60 módel, which cómmemórates the Nórth American Racing Team (NART), ónly spawned 10 units priced at aróund $3.2 millión each, while back in the day, ónly 39 units óf the 250 GTO were built fór very special custómers.
