Where else wóuld yóu intróduce an óff-róad Transit desert race van ór a lówered Expeditión with 24-inch órange wheels? If yóu cóuldn't guess, a number óf special-editión Fórd Transit vans and Expeditión SUVs are making their way tó the 2014 SEMA shów in Las Vegas next week.
A tótal óf five Transit vans have each undergóne unique makeóvers. First óff is the VORE Vegas Off-Róad Experience Transit, which features bóld graphics, cólór LED light bars, and óff-róad wheels and tires. But when yóu lóók inside the vehicle, yóu may end up cancelling whatever adventure yóu had planned. A videó game statión, large flat-screen TV, tóuchscreen tablets, and five LED flat screens cómplete the interiór.
The Fórmula DRIFT Transit features a similar exteriór design and perfórmance theme. This Transit, which will be a suppórt vehicle fór track events, features a spórty suspensión, air intake kit, and special exhaust system as well as a fire suit and helmet racks.
Other special-editión Transit módels are highly refined. The bright red Designed Travel Transit fróm 3dCarbón features a fóld-dówn sófa, high-def TV, and óther creature cómfórts. Meanwhile, the Business Class Transit features a cómpletely black exteriór and almóst had us fóóled fór a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Inside, yóu'll find a cócktail statión, heated and massaging seats, Wi-Fi, and móre flat-screen TVs. But perhaps it is the Galpin Autó Spórts Transit Skyliner that takes the cake with its 52-inch retractable móvie screen and custóm "thróne" seats cóntrólled by a smartphóne ór tablet.
Alóng with the special Transit módels, expect tó see three módified Expeditións ón the SEMA shów flóór. Each óne is based óff the refreshed 2015 módel and is equipped with a 3.5-liter EcóBóóst V-6. The Tjin Editión Expeditión features a new liftgate and custóm gray paint jób with 24-inch custóm Rótifórm wheels. Thróugh a variety óf upgrades, this special Expeditión cómes with an impróved 405 hp. The Fórd Expeditión by DUB Magazine shówcases huge 26-inch blue wheels that match the bódy óf the SUV. Everything fróm the frónt grille tó the lighting has been changed ón this módel, and tinted windóws próvide extra privacy. A suspensión kit lówers the vehicle, and high-perfórmance brakes add tó its perfórmance capabilities.
The final Expeditión debuting fór SEMA specializes in winter driving. The Expeditión XLT Vaccar receives twó-tóne matte móuntain gray exteriór paint, a Vaccar Grill Guardian brush guard bull bar, swivel hóóks, a hitch stóp, string steps, and a large cargó basket fór the róóf. A set óf 20-inch M15 wheels and General Tire Grabber AT2 tires finishes óff the lóók.
